Today is a very happy day for me.. Why, you may ask..
it's because, today was the last day of school so..
Schoooooooools out for the Summmmmmer!
(do you hear Alice Cooper singing too?)
I love summer break. No more getting up at 6 a.m. to make sure my son catches his early bus.
No more nagging the kids to do their homework. No more homework for three whole months!!
and top of that happy news, it is Friday
and you know what that mean..
It's time to Dare to Share!
Because the last week of school is such a busy week, I was not able to do as much on the blog as I normally do. I did share Our Summer Fun Challenge list. These days, especially since my kids are getting older we really try to do things to make summer memorable. This will be the last "childhood" summer of my oldest. Next year she graduates. I am still amazed at how fast time is flying.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen our most recent picture of our end of school tradition. Every year on the last day, we go to the Dairy Queen, get ice cream. A lot of people must do the same, it was a busy place.
This was the year we started this tradition. Look at those cute baby faces! Kristina was in 1st grade, (she just finished 11th), Kara was not quite 3, and Kyle was in preschool. All of them have darker hair now, and are not as excited to get their picture taken as they were back then.
Even with school being out, we still have a busy schedule, at least for the next few weeks. Kristina still has one more week of her online courses, and then she will be 100% done with schoolwork. Kara has two dance rehearsals, a recital banquet, and her recital/ballet production. With the kids help in the next two weeks, I will be setting up and participating in the neighborhood garage sale. We will be planning and creating for Kara's special birthday party that is coming up in July. and as a warning to those who live in my area. two of these smiling faces will be taking Driver's Ed.
With the end of the school year chaos, there were only two fabulous features this week, both with a summer theme.
How cool is this Easy Pallet Tiki Bar by Crafty in Crosby. It would be a great addition to your summer party.
Almost Supermom shared this great 3 ingredient Strawberry Frozen Yogurt recipe. I can't wait to try it when strawberries are ready in our area. Yum!
My cohost Kim over at Kim's Kandy Kreations has many great posts this week, including this one with Ten Super Hero Party Games.
Now it is time for this week's party. You are welcome to link up anything that you would like to share. You are not required to follow to link up, but we would sure love it if you did. If you are chosen as the Dare to Share Feature of the Day, you post will be promoted on the blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and G+.
Now link up and HAVE FUN!
.
