Do you have an Elf on the Shelf? Ours is name Buddy, and he has been coming to our house for 3 years. His first year here was pretty rough. It was his job to keep an eye on two preteens, who were very ornery. At least the teen was very nice to him. You can read about that year here. Now that all of the kids are mostly out of their ornery stage, his visits have been more peaceful. Here are some of the fun things he has done this year since arriving on November 30th.
Day 1.. He quietly sat in the Christmas tree, with a sign saying he was back to have some more fun.
Day 2.. Since it was already December 1st, he found our Christmas countdown board to let us know there are only 24 days to Christmas.
Day 3.. Buddy realized he left his Christmas stocking at the North Pole. He got into Kara's sewing kit, and made himself a new one.
Day 4.. Buddy made a new friend, Mr. Monkey. They had not met before, because Mr. Monkey moved in in May. Buddy learned how much fun it is to hang out on top of light fixtures.
Day 5.. Buddy made some more friends on this day. He took a sleigh ride with Santa Bear that was pulled by one of Santa's reindeer.
Day 6.. We found a miniature tree in our Christmas decorations, which was the perfect size for Buddy to decorate.
Day 6, pic 2.. I am not sure how he did it, but Buddy found himself all tangled up in tinsel garland while I was away.
Day 7.. On this day, Buddy hid out in Santa's toy bag. He was hoping he might be able to take a peek at the toys.
If you would like to keep up with what Buddy is doing each day, follow along on Instagram. He has a lot more interesting things planned in the upcoming days.
