No Power Today

I am not M.I.A. today by choice, Mother Nature made that decision for me.  We have been out of power since around 8 p.m. last night.  Around 10 p.m. we realized that none of our electronics had much power left.  We are grateful though, we did not have it too bad. The really bad storms did not hit our area, just the very strong wind.  It pulled our neighbor's mailbox out completely out out of the ground. 

 My computer was fine, but I did not have internet.  School was canceled today since some of the schools did not have power, and many parts of town still did not either.  Luckily a good friend of mine does have power. She has been nice enough to have us come over today for charging, showers, and heat.  When it was dark, I found out those dollar store votives are great during a power outage. I recommend keeping some on hand for emergencies. 

Before the power went out, we were having a crafting day. You can see many half finished projects on the table.  They are still sitting there, since I was crafting when the power went out. 

This is going to be a fun craft with Kara gets it finished..  I will hopefully be posting it in the next few days.
