I glued the face onto a peanut shaped body made from brown craft foam.
I glued the body on the front of the pumpkin with hot glue,
Before gluing the feathers on the back, I did small little cuts on each of them to make them appear more feather like. They are on the yellow feather too, it is just really hard to see on camera.
The last touch was to add his wings, and Mr. Tom Turkey was born.

Update: The craft foam pumpkins from the Dollar Tree that I used in this craft are now available online at DollarTree.com. They are available in orange and white and in smaller quantities.
