I took my teenager to the mall for a few hours today to buy a few things for school. While there we saw a new kiosk in the mall
A couple of really nice ladies asked us if we would like to have a free scan. This special scanner would take our measurements and then match us to the sizes and types of clothes that would best fit our body type. We would also be entered in their promotion for a $100 prize. We thought it might be fun to try especially since it was free.
I know this picture is hard to see (taken on cell phone) but this is my daughter getting directions before the scan. You had to stand real still for about 10-15 seconds while a scanning wand went around you twice.
At the end of the scan we were given printouts for jeans, pants, tops, skirts and dresses. This is my jeans page. I was actually surprised at how many high ranking jean matches I had.
My highest ranking jean was the Bongos Junior Skinny jeans in a size I wont mention. They have a mid rise and a dark wash. The best part is that they are only $19.99. I might have to try these the next time I go to the mall to see if I agree this really is the best fit for me. There were some other affordable jeans on the list, and some that were not so affordable.
My highest ranking skirt was a $138 Pencil Skirt in Herringbone from J. Crew. That is never going to happen. The most affordable skirt on my list was the Harley Skirt from Abercrombie & Fitch for $40.00, and was not marked as high in fit.
The highest fitting dresses were all over $125. Two of them were shirt dresses, which is a style that I just do not like. The 3rd highs was a Sleeveless Pleated Print Dress from Macy's that was way to short for my 40 something body. Though I did think it was very cute. The 4th highest was a Tie Shoulder Print Michael Kors dress from Nordstrom. It is cute and semi affordable at $65.
This is one of my highest ranking tops. I actually like this one. It is from the A.N.A collection at JCPenney for only $14.
This top by Aerie was also one of the very best fits. At just under $30, I might wait for it to go on sale before I would buy it.
When I told the ladies I wanted to share my experience on the blog, they told me that the website Me-Ality.com is a great resource to find out more about Me-Ality, and where you can find a booth near you.
This sounds like fun! I always have a hard time getting jeans that I like. I like mom jeans, but they are hard to find these days, the jeans in all the stores are so low rise. The best I have found is levis...my go to jean. :-)
