We just finished our last official week of summer break. I am sad about the end of the warm weather and sleeping in. The kids all have their teachers and schedules. We have pretty much all of the school supplies unless the teacher give have some surprise requests. I have some lunch food bought for packing lunches. I guess we are physically ready to go back, I don't know about mentally though.
We haven't done anything overly exciting for the last few days of the Summer Fun Challenge. On Wednesday it was Dairy Queen for ice cream. Thursday I took Kyle and Kara to a late lunch on McDonalds before running some errands. Halfway through the grocery store, Kyle was done with shopping even though I was not. For him, he didn't find that part of the day to be that much fun.
Silver had a bath last night and posed for a few pictures. Here are two of his best ones. It is hard to take pictures of a moving squirmy hedgehog.
Today I got to spend a special meal with my teenager. We to to get the Never Ending Pasta Bowls. Let me tell never ending for us, means only 1 bowl. Those things are HUGE. Kristina got Angel Hair with Alfredo and sausage. I got the Penne with Chianti meat sauce. An added bonus is there are $4 off of 2 coupons that you can use on the pasta bowls, so our meal was totally affordable.
Do you have anything you would like to share? You can link up pretty much anything with no limit on the number of posts.
I would love if you would post my button somewhere on your blog, so more people will know about the party.
I am doing something different this party. Instead of going in order, I changed the party to list the posts in random order. I really like linky parties that do this, and everyone gets a change to be in the first spot. I hope you like it too.
I enjoy the new format you have set up. I tend to be fashionable late to everything in life:) Thanks for being a wonderful hostess!
