Last Minute 4th of July Crafts

Recently at the dollar store I saw a few items that gave me an idea for a centerpiece.   I also made a quick stop at Michaels because they had 4th of July items on sale, and I wanted to check out their selection.

I bought the glass vase and 2 bags of white stones at the Dollar Tree.  The mini carnations were on sale for $1 a bush, and the 4th of July patriotic were on sale for .79 at Michaels.  There were some wreaths at the Dollar Tree but not quite the right size, so I also picked up a small grapevine wreath for about .50 with a coupon.

Fill the glass vase with the white decorative stones.

I pulled off the mini carnations and pushed them into the wreath.

Place the vase inside the wreath

I added the flag stems to the vase and tried the look with red, white and blue daisies.  I liked the look, but  thought it was also a bit busy.

Either way is just fine, whichever you prefer.  I think this way kind of reminds me of a firecraker.  I also bought a wire garland that I thought I might use, but decided that I liked the more simple look.

This would be a fun and easy craft for the kids to make

I found these fun blue party cups at the Dollar Tree, and I found the red washi tape at Target.

We just added some of the washi tape to the cups and then added a small bow found from the Dollar Tree.  Adding a little pizzazz makes the cups more fun to drink from.  After the holiday is over, the  tape can easily be removed.

I will be linking these up on these awesome parties HERE
