It's Too Hot to Think..

I am so done with this heat wave.  We have had 10 days in a row with temps in the high  90s, and several days have hit 100.  This picture was taken a few days ago  in my car, at 9 p.m. at night!!  Seriously it was still 95 degrees out after the sun went down.    I don't know about you, but I am unproductive in this kind of heat.  When I go outside I feel like my breath is sucked out of me. Even inside with the air conditioner on, I feel like I am moving in slow motion.  I have a long list of projects that I want to do, but not the energy to do them.  It does look like we will finally get a break with the weather.  Our local news station is saying during the next week, highs will only be in the 80s!! Woohoo!  I never thought temps in the 80s would be considered cool, but I am so looking foward to them.

The extreme weather has not been all bad though.  Thursday morning, we had a severe thunderstorm go through the area.  A neighbor two houses down, lost a large branch from  one of his trees.  After cutting the branch up with a chainsaw he placed the wood pieces  at the end of his driveway.  I asked him yesterday if I could have some for our Woodland party, and he told me to take as much as I wanted.

I had found this super cute table with log stools on Pinterest, that I am using for inspiration. I wish I knew who to give credit to for his picture.  When I followed it back, I found it posted as a best party on the Apartment Therapy website.  I don't plan on having a table outside with unreliable weather, but I am hope to do something fun with them.
