Easter Bunny Nutter Butter Cookies

Last night I decided to make a fun treat for the kids to enjoy today. I recently bought some Nutter Butter Cookies on sale for only $2.50.  I thought they would be perfect to make some Easter Bunny Cookies.

For my Easter Bunny cookies, I used Nutter Butter Cookies  cookies, Wilton white candy melts, Kraft StackerMallows, and Wilton Heart Sprinkles . I was going to use the pastel wafers too, but they ended up being to big on the bunny face.

To make the bunny ears,  I used an oval/egg shaped cookie cutter . When the cutter did not go all the way through, I used kitchen shears to quickly cut out the shape.  I then used a pink edible marker to draw on the pink part of the ear.

I dipped the Nutter Butters in the white  melted candy melts

I laid the cookies on the wax paper, and attached the marshmallow ears and heart nose. I used a Wilton squeeze bottle with melted chocolate to draw on the eyes and mouth.  I could have used a little practice with the squeeze bottle, but luckily  my kids do not care that the smiles are a bit lopsided.   I used edible food markers to draw the pink on the marshmallow ears.

The bunnies are now ready for hungry children to enjoy!
