I came across a group of Leprechauns in my kitchen. They were in such a hurry not to get caught, they left behind their hats filled with gold.
I found this package of mini hats at the dollar store. Most people would look extremely silly wearing a miniature hat on their head, but I bought them because I had a better idea for them. They were the perfect size to hold a cupcake. If you can't find these at the store, I did find them here on Amazon.
I made a batch of cupcakes and let them cool off completely. I used yellow tinted frosting, yellow sugar and yellow Wilton candies for the gold.
These will be so much fun for St. Patrick's Day.
