I love the look of all the spring themed wreaths. I don't always put one up for every season, but at the craft store the recently I fell in love with a fun Easter wreath. What I didn't love was the $17.99 price. It was made from a feather boa and had Easter eggs in the feathers. I thought about making one myself, but by the time I bought the supplies it would have cost almost as much as the pre-made version. While at Target this weekend, I saw colorful shower puffs in packs of 2 in the Dollar Spot. They were in pretty spring colors like pink, light blue, and purple. Then I had an idea...
I really couldn't hang a wreath made from feathers in the elements, because it would most likely get ruined. I could, however, put a wreath made of a material that is supposed to be in water.
When I first started the wreath, I tied on each puff.
When they are all on the wreath, they look more like flowers than shower puffs

I hung in on the wall at first because I didn't want to open the front door. It is COLD outside again. After having 2 weeks in the 70s ad 80s, a morning in the 30s is quite a shock.
I really like my new Easter wreath. It makes the porch look more like spring.
While a little more expensive than the puffs I found in the Dollar Spot, I found these multi color puffs on Amazon which would make a really cool and colorful wreath. I also found a 10 pack of purple puffs for a great price. There is a shipping charge, unless you already have Amazon Prime.
Clever! And waterproof for hanging outside! Great idea.
