Christmas Treat Boxes

In keeping with my tradition of holiday treat boxes, such as my Bunny Boxes and Turkey Boxes , I thought I would make some Christmas boxes.   Using the mini containers from the dollar store, I came up with a couple different versions.

I made this version of the reindeer similar to how I made the bunnies. (seen in the background)   I used a hot glue gun and attached google eyes, a craft foam nose and some pipe cleaner antlers.

I used a strip of brown construction paper to give it a brown look.  To hold it in place, I used a tiny piece of scotch tape.

I thought about using mini red pom poms for the nose, but I was out of that color.  To get the perfect circle, I used a hole punch and used it on red craft foam.  I used a black sharpie to draw on the smile.

To make the antlers,  I cut a pipe cleaner into 4 equal pieces, by folding and then folding again.  I twisted two of the small pieces together, and shaped into antlers. (similar to the turkey feet)  Good thing about antlers is they are all different shapes, so they do not have to be perfect.

To make this reindeer version, I drew and cut out Rudolphs head from craft foam.  I the glued  on  the eyes, nose and antlers.

The circle box reminded me of a snowball.  I decided to whip up a quick snowman.  I used google eyes, orange craft foam for the carrot, and a black sharpie for the coal.

If you are having a class Christmas party in the next few days like we do, these  would be a fun and easy way to hand out treats.
