Grocery Deals this Week

I cant believe it has been a week since I had been to the store.  It seems like it had only been a couple of days.   We were out of milk and a few other needs, so it was off to the store again.

This is what I bought at Meijer.   Many of the items were Meijer brand because this week was a Meijer brand sale.

Bananas .54 a lb.  (I needed them for a recipe I am making tonight)

Special deals
Buy one Philly cream cheese for $1.99, get a Meijer cream cheese FREE  (2 bricks for $1.99)

Buy 3 or more Kraft dressings at $1.67 and get $2 off of produce instantly.  I bought 4 and used two $1 off 2 coupons.  I paide $1.17 each for the dressing and got my bananas and peaches almost for free.

White Castle cheeseburgers $3.69.  I used a .50 coupon that doubled, final price $2.69
Magnum Ice Cream bars.  I had a rain check from last week for the $3 price.  I used a $1.50 off coupon, final price $1.50
4 Meow Mix Selects on sale .50.  I used $1 off 4 coupon, final price .25 each

I spent only $44.12.  I used $5.50 in coupons, $3.34 in special deals and saved $18.00 in sales.  My savings were not quite as good as normal since I could not use coupons on Meijer brand. I had an overall savings of 38%

I found some great deals at my local VGs store

3 Whole Wheat Muellers Pasta  on sale $1. I had 3 $1 coupons, so all were FREE
2 Danonino yogurts on sale $2, I had two $1 coupons that doubled,  both were FREE
2 Aussie conditioners on sale $2.50. I had two $1 coupons that doubled,  they were .50 each
2 Cinnabon Caramel Pancakes on clearance for $1.39 each.  I had .75 off 2 that doubled, final price .64 ea
2 bags Krunchers chips on sale $2.50.  I had two $1 coupons.  They should have doubled but would not ring up and a manager had to override them.   Should have been .50 but instead paid $1.50 each
3 Michelinas on sale $1
2 Coles breadsticks on sale $2.  I had two .50 coupons that doubled, final price $1 each
2 boxes Cocoa Puffs on sale $2.  I had $1 off 2 coupon that doubled, final price $1 each
Newton Blueberry Crisps on sale $2.  I had $1 coupon that doubled, final price $1 
2 Snyder Pretzel sandwiches on sale $3.  I had two $1 coupons that doubled, final price $1 each
Golden Grahams ceral bars on sale $2.50. I had .50 coupon that doubled, final price $1.50
Nature Sweet Cherry tomatoes $2.99.  I had .55 coupon that doubled, final price $1.89
bottle of syrup $1.99 (to use on our waffles and pancakes)
Pop Tarts 12 ct on sale $2.50.  I used $1 off 2 coupon marked do not doubled, final price $2 each
Land O Frost Ham on sale $3.99.  I had .55 coupon that doubled, final price $2.89
2 gallons of milk $2.79.  I now have 6 in my milk club total so my next one is FREE

Meal deal buy a rotisserie chicken, 4 pk of Kings Hawaiian rolls and a 2 liter of Coke for only $6.99 (saved $3.46 off full price. It ended up being dinner!)

I saved $32.68 in coupons, $25.52 in sales for a $58.20 in total savings.  I spent only $47.64, I saved 55%
