My tips this week will be party planning tips on how to throw a party on a budget.. Much more in my area of expertise than the cleaning tips posted last week.
Today's tip is to use solid colored plates, napkins, table covers. Not only are they are lot cheaper than themed items, but you can find them at the dollar store for a fraction of the price. If you really had your heart set on themed plates and napkins, buy one set and then buy a coordinating solid color and alternate them on the table. One child gets a themed plate with a plain color napkin, and the child with the plain plate would get a themed napkin. Personally I don't think in the excitement of it all, the kids will notice the difference if you used themed or solid color. Other party items available at the dollar store are invitations, wrapping paper, streamers, goodie bag items, balloons and more..
