Praying for Japan
Today was a hectic morning in our household. I heard the news about the earthquake/tsunami when I got up to go the bathroom in the middle of the night. I then could not get back to sleep because my husband is currently IN JAPAN. I could tell from the news that he was most likely safe, because he was not near the epicenter. I know he felt the earthquake though, because he was at work not too far outside of Tokyo. What an experience being in Japan during the biggest earthquake in their history. When I got the kids up for school, I told them what happened so they did not hear something at school or see the pictures that are so frightening. I assured them that their dad was most likely okay, but at that point we still had not heard from him. I was so relieved when I finally heard something at 9:15 am . He is fine, but as we can imagine things are chaotic over there right now. He was due to fly out within 24 hours but that is on hold for now. Trains service is suspended in and out of Tokyo and flights are cancelled. There have been many aftershocks which is most likely why things are not running for now. Hopefully he will be able to come home soon. Please keep Japan in your prayers, so many people are affected by this earthquake and tsunami.
